What can I power with 400 Watts or 12 Volts? (windmill power)?

I’m looking into getting a windmill power generator and the small ones i’m looking at powers 400 Watts or 12 Volts. I’m wondering what i would be able to run with that amount of power and for how long? Is it enough to run a TV, Computer blender…

You are confused with power and energy. You can run any appliance with rated power less than or equal to 400 watts, but the voltage rating of the appliance should match with your generation. If wind is there, and your mill is working properly you can run for any time duration.power rating of different equipments and same equipments of different applications vary

A portable TV should be ok. You need to ensure you have good power regulation / conditioning on the line otherwise the supply may be unreliable. You might want to think about charging batteries and then running your appliances off that.

It will depend on the amount of wind you get to recharge your batteries.

400 watts, is not a lot, 6-60 watt bulbs, or one computer (maybe), My TV is 110 watts.

you will also have to calculate losses when converting from 12v to 120v. You measure the current times the voltage in (to the converter) and the current times the voltage out to see how much power is being used by the converter.
