I have to build a HOMEMADE windmill for an English project and I have no idea how to approach this project. Any ideas?

How do the offshore windmills power cables affect the shark population??

I love the idea of offshore windmills BUT….

Sharks depend on a receptors that are tuned to sense electic fields to hunt prey.

Hopefully the cables are properly insulated and will not cause stray electric fields. I doubt that a shark would mind too much anyway. they will just hunt somewhere else.

No. Your washing machine AC motor does not act as a generator. You can however use a car alternator and batteries for storage. Connect this to an inverter for AC power. I helped a friend build one to provide power in a large shed/ workshop.

Does anyone know where I can buy a windmill to generate enough electricity to power my house?

I would like to either buy one or a ready to essemble kit . How big of a windmill would I need to provide enough electricity for a 7 room house with full basement. I want to use it to provide all the power including heat in the winter.

You’ll also have to plan on a way of storing energy for use when the wind isn’t blowing.

How many household (light,fan,TV etc) can a 2kw windmill power?

First you must sure the Voltage is stable, it’s mean not depend on wind, or you must have stabilizer, or the windmill unit has own stabilizer system.(the voltage not going up and down).
Then calculate how many household for 2 kw = 2000 watt power supply, i.e:
1.Refrigerator 500 watt.
2.Washing machine 500 watt.
3.Air Condition 1 Hp ~ 750 watt.
4.The rest 250 watt for lighting (it can be 50 watt x 5 = 250 watt)
This only example, depend on what you have.
But, if you can’t guaranty the stability & continuity, I sugest :
1. Don’t use household with motor (i.e Refrigerator, Air Condition, Washing Machine, Water Pump etc). Heater, Toaster, Fan is OK.
2.For lighting, use Incandesce lamp, not Neon Lamp (TL = Tube Lamp), Mercury Lamp.
For 60 W Incandesce Lamp 30 pcs is OK.

where can i find a diagram or picture showing an archimedes screw powered by a windmill?

I am doing research for a landscape architecture firm about how they can pump water from the ocean to their resort using wind power. One of my ideas which I have heard much about is attaching an archimedes screw to a windmill or some sort…but I can’t find any pictures or diagrams of one! can somebody help please?
